Married At First Sim Sight

Meet the Sims

Welcome to the premier episode of Married at First Sim Sight. The simexperts have brought together six single sims and paired them with their perfect match. They got married, without ever seeing or meeting each other. These are legally binding marriages and in a few weeks these couples will have to decide whether to stay married or get divorced. 

So, let's get started and meet our Sims:

First up - Mason Chandler. 

Mason is a 26 year old Caterer from Brindleton Bay. 

Mason: I would consider myself a loner. I grew up spending time in my parents basement working on creating the perfect robot and reading joke books. As I got older, I discovered a love for food and have put the same passion that I had into robots as a kid into cooking now. Right now, I'm working for a catering company, but I think I'll be able to really make it in the cooking world. My dream job? Well, other than being a world-renowned chef...I guess I'd love to be a comedian.  I love making people happy - either through food or jokes. And despite my loner nature I tend to get along well with people when meeting them. 

We matched Mason with Aubree Haines.

Aubree is a 25 year-old Manager's Assistant from Willow Creek. 

Aubree: I've always been a quick-learner and I love computers. I'm hoping to work my way into a manager's position within my company and I think those skills will get me there. Well, I love food, but I wouldn't call myself a foodie. I'll eat pretty much anything! (laughs). I don't really like to admit my faults...but if I have to I would say I can be a little moody. Sometimes I can get a little down and need someone who is willing to put up with that and maybe help raise me up. But don't get me wrong I have a little mischievous side and like to joke and tease and occasionally play a prank or two!

Matchmaker C: We matched Mason with Aubree. They have a lot in common, both have a love and passion for food and both love to laugh. Aubree explains that she has a tendency to get a bit moody and down and we think Mason's love of comedy may be the remedy she needs as long as he doesn't push her too hard during those times. Otherwise, they both love to laugh and joke around and think they will be able to make each other very happy. 

Next up, we have Rose York.

Rose is a 27 year-old beat reporter for Sim National Magazine from San Myshuno. 

Rose: I've worked my way up from the mail room to beat reporter the quickest in the magazine's history. I love my job, but I'm really hoping to get my own column as an Art Critic. My last article was covering the karaoke scene in San Myshuno, because there are several karaoke clubs - it's very popular there! I'm very romantic, I love LOVE and unfortunately that has led me to through several different relationships...No, I wouldn't say I'm afraid of commitment, I just have had a lot of relationships. I just believe in playing the field before finding the one. But I think I'm ready to settle down now...I just hope he likes cats, because I was planning on adopting one!

Rose has been matched with Jaime Betancourt.

Jaime is a 28-year old "professional" from Del Sol Valley. 

Jaime: I don't really like to talk about my work...a lot of it is...uh....classified. Yeah, yeah, classified. I don't come from a big or close family, so that is what I want to have. I want to settle down with a nice girl and just have a lot of kids and a nice, normal life - white, picket fence sort of thing. Just call me an old-fashioned romantic. I don't mind helping around the house either, I've lived on my own since I was 16 and have learned to take care of myself. Hmmm....something no one knows about me? Well, I am a great dancer. I work a lot of nights and the warehouse...uh...I mean, the office, is close to a lot of clubs. So, sometimes we would go before or after work and I picked up some moves!

Matchmaker C: We matched Jaime and Rose together, because they both have very sensitive, romantic sides to them. Jaime can be a little secretive at times, whereas Rose is a reporter and we're hoping she can get him to open up a little. He also doesn't mind chipping in around the house, which is good for Rose, who is working hard on her career. 

And our last couple:

Phoenix Dwyer

Phoenix is a 32 year-old office assistant from Willow Creek.

Phoenix: Right now, I'm an office assistant, but I plan to be President of the company soon. I'm very ambitious and work hard at my career. I plan on being wealthy and popular and I know I'll achieve it. I'm not all work, work, work though. I do enjoy travelling and have gone to Selvadorada many times. My ancestors are from there and when I was in college I joined up with an archaeological trip to the jungle in Selvadorada. I've gone on fishing trips to Granite Falls. I love just getting away sometimes. 

We have matched Phoenix with Shawna Figueroa

Shawna is a 28 year-old Scientist from Oasis Springs. 

Shawna: I enjoy my job working for Simstitute Chemicals, but I really am hoping to follow my dream as an author. I'd like to combine my love for science with my love for books and write some amazing sci-fi novels! I have some ideas....but I'm not telling them here! (laughs). My family prized intellectual pursuits over artistic pursuits, so I was pushed from a young age to go into the science field. But on the side I worked on teaching myself guitar and when my parents weren't around I changed the classical station on the radio to....well, anything else! (laughs). 

Matchmaker C: We matched Phoenix and Shawna because they are both focused, driven and ambitious people who will support each other in their professional pursuits. Phoenix is settled in a career with a clear path that he is working to achieve and he will be able to help Shawna and support her as she transitions from her career as a scientist into her dream job of an author. His travelling shows his slight rebelliousness and restlessness (that is cured by his travels), but he will understand Shawna's need to break away from her upbringing and follow her desires. 

Stay tuned as we see these singles get married, go on their honeymoon to the Sapphire Shores Resort in Sulani and then they will move into their own homes at our Married at First Sim Sight compound, where we will see how things go when they settle back into their normal lives.
